Good-bye Blizzards, hello Chocolate Glazed Cake Donut.
Dunkin Donuts is coming to the Shell station located at the corner of Turkey Sag Road and Route 53.
“This is very exciting,” said Tiger Fuel President David Sutton, whose company owns the building. “It will be a brand new upscale location with donuts, coffee and other bakery items.”
Sutton added the restaurant should be open in the next 60 to 90 days.
The beleaguered Dairy Queen officially closed May 1. Owner Sid Tripathi confirmed that the restaurant was not doing good business. He has no plans to open another one elsewhere in the county.
Last summer the Thomas Jefferson Health District closed the DQ after an inspection. It reopened shortly thereafter.
