A symbolic step towards growth was taken in the Zion Crossroads area of Louisa County this morning. An official "grand opening" was held this morning at the Lowes store, which has been open for business since Tuesday.
Lowes is the second major business to open in the area. The Best Western Hotel across the street was the first. A groundbreaking for a Wal-Mart Supercenter next to the Lowes is expected this summer.
Developers of the Shops at Spring Creek are paying to widen Route 15 in front of the new Lowes.
