Three suspects are wanted in connection with burglaries in the Cunningham area of Fluvanna. The Fluvanna Sheriff's Office says felony warrants have been obtained for 18-year-old Joshua David Raymond and 19-year-old Rico Dante Megginson. They're charged with breaking and entering, grand larceny and conspiracy to commit breaking and entering. A misdemeanor warrant was issued against 19-year-old Steven Richard Poore for being an accessory after the fact. Fluvanna deputies investigated two daytime burglaries off Route 53 in the Taylor Ridge subdivision and another in the Cunningham Meadow subdivision. The Sheriff's Office says stolen items included assorted jewelry, coins, and home electronics, and deputies recovered a majority of the stolen property. The suspects have not been located at this time and the warrants are currently outstanding. Anyone with information should call the Fluvanna Sheriff's Office at 589-8211 or CrimeStoppers at 977-4000.

Hence why I like the LM police. Robberies can occur no matter what, but the extra layer of security does help, I believe.

This is my guess which is based on the law of probability. BE"CAUSE" the Lake has it's own Police force it is "probably" a deterent to would be burglars. Affect: The continued low crime rate at LM.

Having retired neighbors & working folk who work various shifts helps, too. Someone is always home, either at my house or nearby. That's definitely a factor compared to those who are surrounded by the typical 9-5 working folk.
