The Fluvanna County Taxpayers' Association met with acting county administrator Shelly Wright Friday for an overview.
The meeting was held at the Fluvanna Library to give residents an idea of the county's financial picture and how changes might affect taxpayers.
Organizers of the meeting said it's important for people to be informed on current budget concerns so they'll know how their taxes will be affected.
"We may be looking at significant tax challenges and revenue challenges like a lot other counties, but we're really feeling it," said FTA chairperson Elizabeth Franklin. "I don't think a lot of citizens understand what may be about to descend on them."
The association is a nonprofit, nonpartisan group that works for all Fluvanna County residents.
